THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER

PART TWO. THURS 29th.

As if winning those tickets weren't enough, I was going to see them tonight at Wembley Arena anyway. !!

I ran home after school, to get dressed and ready for the concert that I've been looking forward to for 22 weeks. Considering that I've been counting, I think that it shows that I was really excited.

After getting ready, my sister and I made our way to Wembley Arena. We got there at around 6:00pm, which was the time that the doors opened. I didn't bring a jumper, so I was standing in the rain shivering in a Taking Back Sunday tshirt, while we were waiting. We ended up lining up for over an hour, because the line snaked, so as soon as you reached the end, you didn't realised that it was only a third through.

Behind us in the line was a couple of guys who kept on trying to high five me. Wait, one thing you have to know about me is that I miss EVERY SINGLE high ever, EVER. Thus, making a fool out of myself, a good few times in a row.

We got inside at around 7:10pm, where we got our tickets taken away from us (which was pretty sad), bags checked and given an obnoxious bright pink wristband saying "Wembley Arena" on it. We went to the toilets, because let's face it, it was a long time since we left home. I know it's not really sociably correct to comment but, MY GOD!, these toilets were clean and dry.

Afterwards, we made our way down to the floor and stood in awe of the place. It's very big inside, but smaller than you think. The walls were black and the upper seating went as far as the eye could see. Not really, but the people at the end's heads were like this "O" small. Kind of. Because there wasn't much happening, we went to look at the merch. and I bought a white My Chemical Romance shirt and my sister bought a tote bag. We made out way back to the standing area and stood about 15 metres away from the stage, making small talk. About five minutes later Thursday, the support band, came on. I like Thursday anyway, so I was pretty excited about seeing them play. They put on a good set and I OMGed at Geoff Rickly for a while.

During the set Geoff's like "HELLOOOOOOO WEMBLEY [cheers]. OUR TOUR MANAGER'S LIKE, 'WHERE'S THE TENNIS COURTS?' HE THOUGHT THIS WAS WIMBLEDON, SO WE'RE LIKE 'NO! IT'S WIMBLEY!' WAIT. WEMBLEY. HE'S FIRED.... MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE ARE BEHIND THIS SCREEN WATCHING YOU..."

He talked for a bit more. Bless him.
During the set, I saw Mikey Way walk out and crouch by the side of the stage watching, which was sweet considering their history.

In conclusion, Thursday were amazing. It just makes it cooler because we saw them on a Thursday. Except, I got punched in between my shoulder blades, which wasn't cool.

Deciding on whether or not to go to the toilet again between the set, I decided not to considering I was already surrounded by fans, about half the thickness of the crowd in. While we were waiting Basket Case started to play on the speakers and almost everyone joined in with the song, which made me feel really at home. So we stood idly for around half an hour watching the roadies set up. Everyone kept on cheering when the roadies played the start to a song, which was fun, although this obnoxious girl behind me kept on saying "why are they cheering? Nothing's happening. Those idiots keep on cheering every time a roadie makes a sound. It's not like MCR are coming on [blahblahblah]." I had half a mind to punch her in between the shoulder blades.

When the lights went down, everyone went crazy. The hospital bleep from The End. came on and sounded for around half a minute, which felt like a life time. When Gerard's voice started to sing, there's no word that could describe the atmosphere in there. I stood on tip toes, trying to get above the guy in front, and I managed to get a look at The Patient, the character that Gee dresses up as, for like ten seconds. I got a picture of it, which is now my wallpaper.

Oh, by the way, camera's weren't allowed into the arena, so I used my phone. That sentence alone can tell you that the quality is awful.

Before we knew it "NOW COME ONE, COME ALL TO THIS TRAGIC AFFAIR" was being shouted back at the stage, towards Frankie, Mikey, Bob, Ray and Gee who were dressed up in their Black Parade uniforms.

As if you can see it :]

My Chemical Romance went through the entire The Black Parade album in its entirety, which I've never been a part of before. It felt, I don't know, just really complete.

It must have been after the fifth track, Welcome To The Black Parade, when there massive canons shot out white and black confetti. However ridiculous we all must have looked, everyone's head was looking up and mouth open wide, watching it fall. To me, which I've later talked about with my sister to get a "haha, no, shut up", it looked like flies. But, y'know. :]

Just before Cancer, Gee started by saying "this is a song about a disease" and everyone cheered, myself included. He kept on talking about how it might have affected us and again, we all cheered. Thinking about it now, it's not really something to cheer about. (Similarly with the Friday crowd, when Frank Iero was too sick to carry on, everyone cheered.) However, it was more than definitely a cheer of love.

Gee as a front man, was very charismatic and, ..., I'm going to say sensual. But I completely mean it. Running around like he owned the stage, but fair play to him, he is incredible. He'd command "jump", and you would try to lift off as high as you could. He'd demand "scream" and you would get as much passion into your voice as loud as you could. It's amazing really, he had everyone wrapped around his little finger, no one sat back, I don't think you could with him.

After Famous Last Words played, the Black Parade ran offstage, with the lights still dimmed. Almost a couple of minutes later Blood, the hidden track, started to play and everyone sang along. As soon as it was finished, Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge My Chemical Romance, not the Black Parade My Chem., ran out and they played I'm Not Okay (I Promise), It's Not a Fashion Statement..., Cemetery Drive, Give 'Em Hell Kid, Thank You For The Venom and You Know What They Do TO Guys Like Us In Prison.

There's nothing quite like being part of the crowd for My Chemical Romance, it's therapeutic. There aren't many public places where you can scream, and I do mean scream, "I'M NOT O- F'ING-KAY" without being claimed insane. It's actually pretty gentle. There really is so much passion, it's overwhelming.

After screaming the various "AH"s at the end. Gee started to get into a call and response, "woahhahah"s before he sang "LOOOOONNNNG AGOO" which was the cue for Helena, my favourite MCR track. :]

Thinking about it now, there's nothing I'd rather leave on than "so long and goodnight". It didn't spoil the evening and it left it on such a complete, again, note.

I honestly can't understand why someone wouldn't like My Chemical Romance, they aren't bad song writers, they're passionate, they're exciting, have an amazing stage presence and are extremely charismatic.

So that was the end. The lights came on, showing the glowing, smudged faces of the crowd we were in. I double taked to see my sister behind me, to my left. Smiling tiredly, I grinned "Monday, then?"

Left over pictures :]
